Art Cart at Huegel School.  This free outdoor art program offers a variety of individual and group art projects for children ages 3 and above. All children should be accompanied by a supervising adult. Families are invited to drop-in with no pre-registration necessary. Sponsored by the Madison Museum of Modern Art and MSCR.

Drop-in basketball at Toki Middle School.The Meadowood Neighborhood Center is sponsoring drop-in middle and high school basketball at Toki Middle School Tuesday nights from 6-8 p.m. Free. Please enter the doors off of the parking lot.

“Scams and Frauds,” a presentation by Chanda Dolson of the Madison Police Department at 10:30 at the Prairie Park Apartments, 6530 Schroeder Road, is sponsored by the SW Madison Triad.  Triad works to improve the quality of life of older adults and reduce their criminal victimization.
Wednesday, August 15, 4:30 p.m.
A public information meeting will be held Wednesday, August 15 at 4:30 PM at the Dane County Highway Office, 2302 Fish Hatchery Road about the proposed Transportation Improvement Program for Madison and Dane County.   The Draft 2013-2017 plan has been released for review and public comment. The Prairie Hills Neighborhood Association board meeting will be held Thursday, August 16 at 6:30 at the West District Community Room.  The agenda will include plans for future meetings, a listserv, possible panel discussion in September.

The City of Madison is hosting a citywide Neighborhood Conference on Saturday, October 13, at Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center. The event will feature hands-on workshops covering neighborhood organizing, neighborhood-based projects, and ways to connect in the community. Participants will be able to network with neighborhood leaders, governmental staff, and local resource representatives.
