Classic English Tea a the Madison Center Center.  The event features tea service and delicacies in three courses.  New menu items include gourmet chocolates by Chocolatier Gail Ambrosius and tea cookies from Clasen’s European Bakery. Tickets are $16 per person and are non-refundable; $12 for Senior Center volunteers. Space is limited. Reservations required by Friday, November 30. Call 266-6581. Saturday, December 8  10 a.m. to 12 noon
Cloth painting workshop at MSCR, Kids 2-12 can create an original painted t-shirt, hat or apron using provided paints and embellishments!   Kids bring their own cloth items to paint (they may have time for more than one). All other materials are provided!  Cost is just $10 at MSCR’s Hoyt location.  Register ahead at mscr.org

Saturday, December 8, 1-3 p.m.
Holiday Cookie Party at the Meadowood Neighborhood Center in the Meadowood Shopping Center. The four southwest Madison neighborhood associations are sponsoring the event, a small holiday party for children and family members. Drop in for some homemade cookies, punch and hear a little holiday music or stay for holiday crafts. This is not a drop-off event.  We encourage a parent, grandparent or older family member to accompany young children.


Adult Crossing Guard Needed for Falk School

New Housing/Community Organizer
John Wroten, a new housing and community organizer reported on his activities at the Prairie Hills NA board meeting on Nov. 8.  He is working under a two-year contract supported by a grant from Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ.  Funds were raised by the church members.   John works on housing and mobility issues in the Southwest Madison. Support Friends of Meadowridge Library
The amendment passed by the Common Council to expand the Meadowridge library requires that $30,000 be raised by the community.  Your support would be appreciated.  You can join the Friends at the library any time for just $5 a year for individuals and $15 for a family.
