Preschool Storytime at the Meadowridge Library every Monday.  A happy blend of stories, fingerplays and songs that help preschool children develop print and phonologic awareness, vocabulary, letter knowledge and narrative skills. Free. Groups welcome.

Toddler Time at the Meadowridge Library.  Enjoy stories, songs and rhymes.  Free one adult per child is recommended.

Madison Senior Center “Sunday at the Center” presents Trombonist Al Anderson with Mardi Gras: Then & Now. Enjoy songs from Mardi Gras celebrations in The Big Easy, as heard in both the early days and today. Enjoy tunes like “Bill Bailey,” “Basin Street Blues” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Cost is $8 and includes a chicken dinner.  Reservations are necessary. Call the South Madison Coalition at 251-8405 by the deadline of noon on Friday, February 8. Limited transportation is available.

Thursday, February 14  7:00-8:00 p.m.
Romance under the Stars, special Valentine’s Day Planetarium show.  MMSD planetarium, 201 S. Gammon Road. $15 per couple. Tax Assistance from AARP
The Madison Senior Center and the Fitchburg Senior Center are AARP sponsored tax sites. This service is designed for those with low to moderate income, catering especially to those over age 60. Tax counselors can assist, complete and electronically file your taxes. Appointments are required. Contact the Madison Center at 266-6581 or the Fitchburg Center at 270-4290

Skating and Sledding at Elver Park
The skating rink is open, weather permitting, and sledding is available as well. Madison Parks has snow making equipment for the sledding hill. Snow can be made when temperatures are below freezing for several days. Sledding hill has lights for evening sledding.
