Parent Addiction Network of Dane County, a unique online resource center for family and friends affected by drug addiction, begins.  Developed as a “one stop shop” for treatment and recovery resources, the Parent Addiction Network team has tried to supply information about addiction, treatment, insurance, legal issues, recovery and support for family and friends. For info, go to http://www.parentaddictionnetwork.org/Verona Road Construction starts in July.  For good info on what’s going to happen, here are some videos.  The “Overview Video” is nearly 9 minutes long, but loaded with quick-moving information about the whole project. If you’d just like to know how it’s going to affect YOU as a resident of the area starting this year and continuing over the next several years, check out the 6 minute “Stage 1 video”. More details about what happens after that’s done can be found in the 4 minute “Stage 2 video” here http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/projects/swregion/18151/

Stay off the grass.  Madison Parks playing fields and turf conditions have gone from bad to worse. Drought and rain created poor turf conditions. So please stay off the Madison Parks athletic fields this week. If the fields are torn up now, the fields will be unsafe and the leagues will not be able to play on them because of the time it takes to repair the damage. Violators of the ban are being assessed for the damages caused this spring.
