Cross-country skiing
Ski Rental is available at Elver Park (daily) and Odana Hills (weekends/holidays and MMSD winter break only). A Cross-Country Ski Permit is required for Elver Park, Odana Hills and Yahara Hills.  This annual pass is also valid on Dane County Park Ski Trails. Please note that the fee-based trails will have a higher level of grooming, which includes skate ski lanes, tracks and more frequent grooming.

West Madison Little League (WMLL) has announced the addition of 7-year olds to its spring/summer baseball program for 2014. Players must be 7 years old by April 30, 2014, to qualify. Registration is online at starting Jan 4 through Feb 28, 2014. Fees are $15 less for those who register by Feb 2 (Super Bowl Sunday). All 7-year olds will be paired with 8-year olds in WMLL’s machine-pitch Atlantic league. Email questions to

Annual Downhill Ski Fundraiser – A fun night of skiing that supports the adaptive ski program. Enjoy an fun evening of recreational skiing at Tyrol Basin, Mount Horeb.  Proceeds support the purchase of adapted equipment and scholarships for people with disabilities.
Tickets for youth and adults are: $24 which covers the ski rental (or snowboard rental), helmets, and lift ticket. This is a savings of more than $9!  Tickets must be purchased in advance. No ticket sales on site. Tickets are mailed to you.   Please call 204-3000 for more information or go to
