SPi Global Madison, also known as Laserwords, has opened a call center on Madison’s east side and will be hiring for 50 sales agent positions in coming months, starting at $11 per hour plus commission.  SPi Global Madison provides call center services for Dish Network.
A SPi representative will be at Centro Hispano (810 W. Badger Road) to provide information. You can call ahead of time and sign-up ((608) 442-4019).  SPi Global will be at job fairs on Wednesday, April 24 from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Dane Country Job Center (1819 Aberg Avenue) and on Friday, April 26 from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Urban League (2222 S. Home Composting classes, presented by the City of Madison Streets Division, at Meadowridge Library.  Taught by George Dreckmann, Recycling Coordinator for the City of Madison, these always-popular classes cover home compost basics, including an introduction to compostable materials, where to place your compost bin, and how to tend to your compost. Plans for building a compost bin will be available, and information regarding leaf management will also be presented. All classes are offered free of charge.
