Pilgrim Park Clean-Up. Much thanks to the more than 20 people who worked on Saturday to clean up Pilgrim Parkboth adults and children.  We filled at least 15 bags with trash. Special thanks to Keith and Sherri Swartz and family for organizing this eventand Jan Minardi for publicizing it.

Trucks and Treasurers at Elver Park.  Two events in one. Big Rigs. Climb on and explore the big rigs. Vehicles include a fire engine, police car, construction equipment, dump trucks and more! Kids Garage Sale  Kids can reserve a space to sell their own items to other kids, like toys, games, books, bikes, DVDs, etc. No selling of food or baked goods. Friends of the Arboretum Native Plant Sale.  More than 100 species of native grasses, prairie plants, ferns, woodland flowers, shrubs, vines and trees will be for sale.  Friends’ members receive a 10% discount. Please check to see if your membership is current. All proceeds from the sale benefit Arboretum programs. Cash, checks, credit cards are accepted.

 Madison Bird and Nature Festival at Olin-Turville Park.  Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day and Madison’s fantastic urban nature recreation and habitat preserves. Come for a Bird and Nature Walk at 10 and make it a day. Kids are encouraged to create fun costumes and join in the Bird Puppet and Critter Parade at 11 am at Olin Pavilion.
