Huegel School Garden clean-up.  (weather permitting). Come join us to help clean up the garden to get it ready for spring planting. All you need is yourself and a pair of garden gloves (garden tools too if you have them). If getting dirty is not your thing, we will also be painting the benches in the outdoor classroom. Come lend a hand.

Garlic Mustard pull at the Odana Golf Course. Garlic Mustard is an invasive plant that’s taking over our woodlands. It crowds out our beautiful native wildflowers and endangers forests. Help remove this invader and keep our local parks healthy. Please dress for the weather and the work! Where garlic mustard grows, we may also run into poison ivy, wood ticks and mosquitoes. Close-toed shoes, long pants and long-sleeved shirts are highly recommended. Discovering Dinosaurs Exhibit begins.  Visiting Anna Vilas Hall will transport you to another time…when dinosaurs roamed the Earth! This special exhibit at the Vilas Zoo has no admission fee, but donations are welcomed.

Great Strides Madison, sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, is a family-oriented 5k walk at Elver Park promoting awareness for cystic fibrosis. Featuring games, entertainment, and food, this national Great Strides walk is a great way to spend a morning enjoying life and the outdoors.

Learn 2 Ride.  Learn easy, hands-on techniques and get your child riding solo on two wheels. The event includes a free bike helmet, helmet fitting, bike safety and practice time.  The program is for children ages 4 and older and their parents or guardians.
