Burglaries Down: According to the West Police District monthly update, “residential burglary incidents in February were down significantly, and reflected the lowest monthly total in over a year.”

West District Detective assigned to New Burglary Crime Unit:  A new Burglary Crime Unit (BCU) has been formed to provide a multi-faceted approach to preventing, tracking and solving burglaries.  A group of detectives, analysts and a sergeant will work together and with each police district to investigate all burglaries in the City of Madison. The BCU detective assigned to the West District is Justine Harris, who has served as community officer for the Hammersley/Theresa neighborhood in the past.  She encourages you to call in tips about suspicious persons or vehicles in your neighborhood.
