The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has received reports that transient asphalt contractors are going door-to-door in Southern Wisconsin looking for work. Don’t fall for it. The work is poorly done or not completed at all. You can contact local police and/or file a complaint on the DATCP website ( or contact the Consumer Information Hotline at 1-800-422-7128 and request a complaint form if you have been scammed.
