Math tutors needed for Memorial High School Students. Every year, this program serves over 430 high school students struggling in mathematics, primarily Algebra, to help them pass with a C or higher. Passing Algebra by the 9th grade is a key indicator that a student will graduate from high school. Looking for the following full-time (and part-time), one-year AmeriCorps positions: 12 math tutors, 2-1-1 Community Resource Specialist, and 4 volunteer tutor liaisons in the Madison and Middleton high schools. Crafters Wanted. There are still spots for more crafters/artists from the westside of Madison for an upcoming Neighbor to Neighbor Craft Market to be held in October. ORVIS instructors will lead this introductory workshop on fishing techniques, maintenance, the rules of water, and safety through demos and practice sessions.
