The vote is in.  It’s large type by a landslide.  I have adjusted my settings.  Now if I knew how to adjust what I see, which is entirely too small for me.

The Pilgrim Park Ice Cream Social was a great success.  A big turn-out and everyone seemed to have a good time.  Special thanks to Kim Bruning, Jim Zanke, Ron Wyttenbach, two 5th grade girl helpers and Jan and Bill Minardi.

Last chance for swimming.  The Goodman Aquatic Center is open Sept.1-4 4:00-8:00 p.m., Sept. 5 and 7 11:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sept. 6 10:00-3:00 p.m.  Go east on PD past County M.  Turn right onto Timber Lane at the Red Barn.

Wednesday, Sept. 2  1:00 p.m  Fitchburg Singers.  If you like to sing, you can join this group. Meets at the Fitchburg Senior Center first and third Wednesdays. First practice Sept. 2.  All welcome; sign up not required.
Wednesday, Sept. 2 4:30-5:30 p.m.  Read to a Dog. At the Meadowridge Library.  First come-first served. For families and grades K-5. Bring your favorite book or choose one at the library.

Thursday, Sept. 3  12 to 2:00 p.m.  Meadowood Job Club at the Meadowood Neighborhood Center. On site applications and networking with employers.

Thursday, Sept. 10    8:30 a.m.-noon  Health and Resource Fair at the Madison Senior Center.  Free health screening including hearing, balance, swallowing, and more.  Many exhibitors.  Free.

Thursday, Sept. 10  noon to 2 p.m.  Food Industry Day at the Job Club at the Meadowood Neighborhood Center.  Meet employers looking for individuals who are passionate abut food.

Friday, Sept. 11  9:00-1:00  Play and Learn, a fun and engaging free program offered by the Madison School District for children ages birth to 3 and their caregivers.  Children learn through play.  At the Meadowridge Library.

Saturday, Sept. 12  1:002:15 p.m. Kids Cook! For ages 5-8 at the Meadowridge Library.  Make fun snacks for you and your family.
