Election workers needed  for the April 5 election.  The City Clerk’s Office anticipates needing to fill an additional 300 shifts​. Election Officials are paid an hourly living wage of $12.83 per hour and work either or both of two shifts starting at 6am and at 1pm.  For more information, call 266-4601.

Wanda Fullmore Youth Internship Program will provide around 50 teens with paid training and summer internships with City of Madison departments​. Youth will develop leadership and employment skills, and learn about various career paths. Pay is $9.00 per hour for training and employment.

Entry-Level Job Opportunities at the City of Madison

Two positions: Laborer and Laborer in the Streets and Engineering Divisions.  These are seasonal positions accepting applications until May 31.  Often, seasonal employees are able to transition to regular employment with the City.  Good opportunity for teens and those looking for an entry-point to employment in general.  Be certain to answer the “Supplemental questionaire” at the end.
