The City of Madison Sustainable Madison Committee is looking for more members!  This committee advises local policy makers and administrators on how to reduce waste, cut costs and protect the environment in city government and across our community. Members are residents appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Common Council.  To apply here:

Schroeder Rd. ResurfacingBeginning Monday, Aug. 22 at 7:00 a.m., asphalt resurfacing of Gammon Road between Moraine View Drive and just north of Schroeder Road will begin.  There will be single lanes on McKenna but no access between Gammon Road and Schroeder Road.  A signed detour will be in place which will include Watts Road and Struck Street. Until Friday, Aug. 26.
Mon., Aug. 22  6:30-7:30 pm  Mindful Mondays at the Meadowridge Library. A mindfulness and meditation training program, including traditional mindfulness techniques, meditation practices, and cognitive exercises. We’ll learn how to calm our minds, relieve stress, and pay attention in the moment. Beginners welcome! Open to adults and teens. Taught by Bev Hayes of Inner Sense Consulting.
