West District Incident Reports. Every month, the West District provides a report of police calls in the district.  For the last few months, compared to last year, incidents are down.  In most instances an incident is a case where a citizen calls to request an officer, possibly a crime or non-criminal activities (traffic accidents, civil disputes, parking issues, etc.).  Also,  this includes traffic stops and foot patrol. Final discussions on the city’s operating and capital budgets will begin at Monona Terrace.  They may continue the next night.  If you want to support or oppose particular projects, including the MidTown police station, you can go and verbally voice your opinion or check “support” or “oppose” on a form that will be provided by the city.

Temple (1602 S. Park St).  Learn about careers in the skilled union construction trades, meet professionals, learn about free hands-on training opportunities.

Tues, Nov. 15  6:00-8:00 pm Learn to Bake Bread.  It’s a bread baking class with Brian from Stella’s Bakery. Learn how to make a couple of different types of bread through hands-on instruction and practice. At the Meadowridge Library. Registration required. Adults only please. Tues., Nov .22 10:00 am  Meadowridge Annual Pie Sale.  Stock up for Thanksgiving at the Friends of the Meadowridge Library’s annual – and very popular – pie sale. The sale lasts until all pies have been purchased. There will be many different varieties and all pies will be $10.00. Proceeds benefit the Meadowridge Branch Library.
