The Elver Park Farmer’s Market is now open!  Every Saturday until September 16, 8:00am – 12:00pm

There IS such a thing as a free lunch.  The MMSD Summer Food program provides FREE FOOD during the summer at more than 50 sites around town.  ALL kids 18 and younger eat FREE.  MondayFriday from June 19 – August 11.  At Elver Park, Lunch will be served from 12:00pm-12:45pm, and there will be a kickoff party 11AM-1PM on June 19th.  To find other MMSD Summer Food sites, go to mmsd.org/food, or text “food” to 877-877 .

Pop Up Puppet Performance.  Join Madison Public Librarians for an afternoon of fractured fairy tales! Giggle at these quirky takes on classic stories, sing songs, and laugh along with your librarians in this interactive performance. All ages welcome.  Sequoya Library, Tokay Blvd. at Midvale Blvd.

Fort Night – Summer Solstice Celebration.  Come camp out at the library! Join librarians for a spooky storytime around the campfire with s’mores and snacks. Then, go pitch your tent in the children’s section stacks to read books by flashlight. Please bring your own blankets and pillows for fort building, and flashlights. Supplies from the library will be limited.  Sequoya Library.

Crafting – Make a Pull Toy.  Make a fun pull toy! Participants will create a wheeled base, then? in a mini maker space, construct the top of the toy using upcycled materials, glue, and duct tape. Maximize Your Home’s Energy Efficiency.  The residential services manager at Madison Gas and Electric Company will discuss common mistakes that can increase your utility bill, smart thermostats and appliances, and real-time home electricity monitors.  He will also discuss incentives available from Focus on Energy, and your questions about your home’s energy use.
