Dues time for Prairie Hills. June begins our membership drive. You may join or renew three ways. Volunteers will be coming to your door with our yearly newsletter. You can renew with them, you can send your dues to Duane Hinz at 18 Starr Court or you can go to our website and use PayPal. Dues are either $5 for a regular member or $10 for a contributing member (support for special projects). This newsletter is one of the benefits of membership, as is having a voice to city government. Please renew now.

Brush collection for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday garbage pick-up. The Wednesday collection has begun (sorry–they were off in their projections). Tues., June 27 6:00-7:30pm Bookmaking Workshop. Learn how to stitch, glue, and fold to create handmade books to be used as sketchbooks, personal journals, or foundations for artists books. No prior experience necessary, ages 14+.

Tues., June 27 1-4pm Build-athon. Let’s imagine what an ideal Madison would look like! Bring the whole family for a day of cardboard construction to build a mini Madison. Add your own house, a fire station, a library, a park, whatever. Drop in and stay as long as you like. No registration necessary. Sequoya Library.

Wed., June 28 1-4pm Art Cart in Meadowood Park, sponsored by the Madison Museum of Modern Art. Projects for families and kids over 3 (must be accompanied by an adult). Fun outdoor arts.

Thurs., June 29 2-4pm Pop-Up Making with Maker corps. At Meadowridge Library. Will you make an amazing flying machine? A cuddly sock monster? Or experiment with robots? A new project every week. Grades 1-5. No registration required.

Thurs, June 29 5:30-7:30pm Carts for Community. Meadowood Park. (Take Leland to Thrush) Different carts every week. Come enjoy the food and the park.

Thurs, June 29 7-8pm Capital City Band. Free concert at Rennebohm Park. Bring a chair.
