Plastics in the Great lakes.  One type of marine debris of particular concern — plastics — is among the most common type and can be a serious threat to the biota of the water body.  Come hear an introduction to the science of plastics in our Great Lakes and share ways you can prevent it. Dia De Los Muertos.  Celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)! Día de los Muertos is an ancient Mexican holiday when families joyfully honor and remember family, friends, and ancestors. We will make folk crafts, calaveras (sugar skulls), papel picado (cut tissue paper designs), mariposas (butterflies), and snack on Pan de Muertos (bread of the dead) to share this beautiful Mexican tradition. No registration necessary.  Sequoya Library.

¡Vamos a celebrar Día de los Muertos! Día de los Muertos es una antigua fiesta Mexicana donde las familias alegremente honran y recuerdan a la familia, amigos, y antepasados. Haremos artesanías populares, calaveras de azúcar, papel picado, mariposas, y merendaremos Pan de Muertos para compartir esta bella tradición Mexicana. No hay necesidad de registrarse.
