Final round of holiday tree collection begins Jan 22.

Trees placed to the curb on or before January 22, 2019 will likely be collected prior to February 8, 2019, depending on weather conditions. Placing a tree to the curb for collection after January 22, 2019 means your tree may not be picked up until regular brush collection begins in the spring.

Collection rules and drop off sites are listed at:

It’s not too late to license pets

‘It’s never too late to get pets licensed. The 2019 pet license year runs from January 1st to December 31st. It is a yearly requirement to license all dogs kept in Madison and Dane County that are 5 months or older. It is also a requirement in Madison and in most cities and villages in Dane County to license cats.’

Prairie Hills Neighborhood Pie Social

Join us February 16th from 1:30-2:30 pm for our annual winter pie social at the Meadowridge Neighborhood Center Community Room (in between the library and neighborhood center). Come eat pie, say hi to neighbors, vote for your favorite pie, and eat more pie!

As usual, the association will supply plenty of pies and ice cream to eat. But this year we’d love to highlight all the baking talent in the neighborhood. So if you like to bake pies, get your rolling pins out and bring your best pie showstopper. And yes, there will be a prize for the crowd favorite.

For more information or if you’d like to bring a pie, please contact Sarah Kirk at
