Mindful Movement

Join fitness and mindfulness coach Venus Washington on second and fourth Tuesdays to explore the mind/body connection. Especially designed for seniors, but open to any adult interested, Venus will help you start wherever you are on your fitness journey (even if you haven’t begun it yet!). Perfect for beginners and anyone interested in getting moving and learning that how you think affects the way you move; and how you move affects the way you think. Plastic Planet

Join us for the documentary, Plastic Planet. Today, about 240 million tons of plastic are produced worldwide annually, while an estimated 6.4 million tons of plastic waste is dumped into the sea each year. Filmmaker Werner Boote asks several families from many different income levels and nations around the world, “How much plastic is in your house?” The answers will shock you!

Adults of all ages and abilities are invited to socialize, snack and enjoy classic board games at this monthly meeting hosted by Living Our Visions (LOV-Dane) in partnership with the Sequoya Library.

Starting and Maintaining a Perennial Garden

A certified Master Gardener Volunteer from the Dane Co. UW-Extension will give you guidance in assessing your garden for suitability for perennial plants, the importance of sun, soil and water in your perennial garden and techniques choosing the right plant for the right place.

Earth Day Challenge

Celebrate Earth Day with your neighbors and friends by volunteering to clean up your local park! Join this community-wide volunteer effort to make a difference. Earth Day Challenge Projects are held throughout the city. Volunteers may assist with trash pickup, raking, weeding, and removing sticks.
