Wisconsin Entering Peak Severe Weather Season

https://www.weather.gov/mkx/1sttornadoesWI

‘With tornadoes in the news over the past week, the Nation Weather Service has had some questions about our tornado season here in WI. While we can get tornadoes at any time of the year, it tends to pick up going into June (peak), July and August. In the past 15 years in Wisconsin, there have been 5 years that have had the first tornado of the year occur after May 23. Bottom line: while we don’t have tornadoes in our forecast at the moment and have yet to have one in Wisconsin in 2019, it is important to be prepared on those days when we are forecasting them, particularly with night tornadoes similar to what happened in Missouri Wednesday night.’
